De-stress – develop an attitude!

Some wise people say that you are what you eat. But equally you are also what you think! Dr Kathleen Hall said that in everything we do, we are making choices about the direction our lives will take – life is a product of choices. So having a positive mental outlook is key, and of course research strongly suggests there is a link between the immune system and the brain so we can literally think ourselves healthy. So how can we direct our thoughts to help us have a sunnier disposition?

  • Laugh – it’s good for you!
  • Have love in your life
  • Try to live a simpler life – de-clutter!
  • Care for yourself first – then you are in a good place to help others
  • Positive self talk
  • Look at your priorities – are they yours or someone else’s?

And Charles Swindoll says, ‘I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it’. Wise words indeed.
